  • Doctors are authorized to “recommend” medical cannabis to qualifying patients.
  • There are no rules or regulations in place allowing the cultivation and dispensing of medical marijuana, meaning there is nowhere for patients to safely access medical marijuana.
  • Current legislation states that all cultivated cannabis must be grown with the “lowest acceptable levels of THC available through scientifically accepted methods.”
  • When the state does adopt provisions to address the sale and growth of medical cannabis, it is expected that it will be distributed through licensed pharmacies.
